Skype for Business

Skype Phone System

Whether for an enterprise, small business, or nonprofit organization Lighthouse Technology Partners can help you deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Skype for Business. Skype for Business and Office 365 work together, making it simple to collaborate right from your Office apps.

Meetings and calls with anyone
Meet with up to 250 people-even if they’re not on Skype. All they need is a phone or internet connection. Reach out to anyone in your company, or to the hundreds of millions of people on Skype, on your favorite device or web browser.

Powerful productivity
See your contacts’ online status, schedule meetings in Outlook, and start conversations from apps like Word and PowerPoint. Skype for Business will work with most communications technology, so you can still make and receive calls on PBX phones and join meetings with video teleconferencing systems. You’ll also reduce the cost of supporting multiple services by upgrading to one solution that includes everything-voice, video, and online meetings. And you can continue using the on-premises equipment you already have as you gradually move to the cloud.

Security and control
All communications are protected by strong authentication and encryption. Control employee accounts, add or remove subscriptions and assign features based on people’s collaboration needs. If you’re already on the Microsoft platform, the account information stored for each person in your organization will be immediately recognized across Skype for Business.

New Features
Skype for Business has rolled out new voice and meeting capabilities designed to increase productivity, giving enterprises the ability to reach, engage, and monetize customers in the mobile space.

  • Cloud PBX with PSTN Calling – Make and receive traditional phone calls in Skype for Business. The Cloud PBX capabilities will include traditional calling features such as answer, hold, transfer, and the ability to leverage existing current PSTN contracts, carrier circuits, and numbers to make and receive phone calls. All possible thanks to the enterprise voice technology available in Lync Server and Skype for Business Server.
  • PSTN Conferencing – An offline alternative, allowing online meetings to be conducted with people in places with no Internet access. Join a Skype for Business meeting in Office 365 by dialing in and adding someone by dialing out to a mobile device or landline.
  • Skype Meeting Broadcast – Allows you to broadcast a Skype for Business meeting for up to 10,000 people. Attendees are able to join via mobile or desktop device and participate in real-time polling and chat via Bing Pulse and Yammer. Produce professional and engaging events for your audience, record the event, and post the recording to Office 365 Video.
