Implement Two Factor Authentication
Lighthouse Technology Partners can help implement Azure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) service. Multi-factor authentication adds a critical layer of security to a user’s sign-ins and transactions, making it significantly difficult for attackers to access your information. It works by requiring multiple verification methods (typically a password, a trusted device, and biometrics). MFA is included in an Azure subscription and is also available for Office 365, Salesforce, DropBox, and other SaaS applications.
Azure Multi-Factor Authentication helps protect access to data and apps, while meeting user demand for a simple sign-in process. A required second form of authentication can range from:
- Phone call: A call is placed to a user asking them to verify that they are signing in by pressing the # sign, completing the verification process.
- Text message: A 6 digit code will be sent to the user's phone to complete the verification process.
- Mobile app verification code: A verification code will be sent to the mobile app that is running on the user's phone.
- Mobile app notification: A verification request will be sent to a user's phone asking them to complete the verification by selecting Verify from the mobile app.
Multi-Factor Authentication is simple and easy to use and provides strong authentication using the highest industry standards. MFA uses the power of the Azure cloud and integrates with your on-premises AD and custom apps. Getting started is easy and we can answer any questions you may have.
